Small Parisian loft

Small Parisian loft

Paris is a dense city with a multitude of small spaces that are often neglected because of their poor organization and conception. However, it is possible to find creative solutions and use each square meter wisely by creating functional spaces. Located in the courtyard of a typical Parisian building, this 40m2 space had very little natural light and a high ceiling.

Two small “lofts” were created by dividing the space in two with an open mezzanine above a small bathtub in each studio. Levels, materials, transparency and lighting were highlighted to design a generous small space.
